Overview:
South African Special Risk Insurance Association (SASRIA) extends an invitation to South African unemployed youth to participate in the Learnership Programme 2024.

– Location: Sandton, Gauteng
– Closing Date: 22 February 2024
– Position Title: Claims Learnership
– Duration: 12 months contract

Responsibilities:
– Administer new claims registration and payment processing.
– Validate new claims and associated documentation.
– Ensure claims adjustments align with Sasria policy cover.
– Verify supporting documents and accuracy of calculations.
– Maintain document diary on IMS system.
– Update reserve based on reserving policy.
– Analyze claims exposure and settle claims within delegated authority.
– Escalate complex claims to Supervisor.
– Coordinate with external resources as needed.
– Keep system notes updated on claim status.
– Communicate gaps in cover and claim progress to underwriting department.
– Address customer inquiries promptly.
– Negotiate claim settlements.
– Liaise with Agent companies and brokers on claim progress.
– Update stakeholders on claim progress.

Requirements:
– Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
– No prior experience required.
