Job Description:
Join BCE FoodService Equipment as a General Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining impeccable hygiene and cleanliness standards across all areas and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform general cleaning duties in designated areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
– Empty and wash waste bins, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
– Conduct sweeping and mopping of floors to maintain cleanliness.
– Utilize electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish, and spray clean floors, following proper instruction and training.
– Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, cupboards, shelves, and fitments.
– Replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
– Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, and drinking fountains to ensure sanitation.
– Perform specialized cleaning tasks in areas like showrooms, collections, office buildings, and warehouse racking and stacking areas.
Requirements & Skills:
– Preferably Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
– Prior work experience in a similar capacity within FMCG or related industries.
– Proficiency in using industrial cleaning equipment.
– Basic health and safety qualifications/first aid training are preferred.
– Demonstrated high energy levels and sober habits.
– Professional and presentable demeanor.
– Willingness to work overtime if necessary.
– Punctual, friendly, and hardworking with excellent attention to detail.
– Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public.
